Principals
 Cynthia Woolbright
Cynthia has more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration, specializing in development, alumnae/i relations, leadership and organizational development, and student affairs. She has held senior advancement positions at The University of Rochester, The University of Vermont, Smith College, and Hollins University, among others. As head of The Woolbright Group, she works closely with educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations, advising them on enhancing and engaging board leadership, volunteer and staff training programs, development strategies for raising philanthropic support, audits of alumnae/i and development programs, donor relations and stewardship programs, and other mission-driven matters.
Cynthia regularly contributes her expertise to the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as a faculty member, conference chair, and contributor to CASE Currents magazine. She currently chairs the Association of Fundraising (AFP) Genesee Valley Chapter’s Diversity Committee and is a frequent speaker at both AFP and CASE conferences and seminars.
Anne Berry
Anne is the Vice President for Advancement at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania. Previously, she held development positions at Saint Michael’s College, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and Hospital, Tulane University and Franklin and Marshall College.
For the past three decades, Anne has consistently demonstrated superior skill in campaign planning (including feasibility studies), board development, staff training and development, especially for smaller institutions. She also advises on the selection of consultants as well as on major gift fundraising.
Anne is a sought-after speaker and faculty member for CASE and other organizations and has chaired and served on many CASE conferences and committees. She is a member of the CASE Board of Trustees, and chair-elect of District II. Anne is a recipient of the Steuben Apple Award for excellence in teaching from CASE.
Heather Calvin
As Director of Membership and Annual Giving, Heather has helped the Museum
of Science in Boston attain record membership
enrollment and dramatic growth in individual giving. Her development
career also includes positions in a variety of political, education and
health care organizations. She has served as a faculty member for CASE
conferences, where she is regularly recognized as a "faculty star."
Penny Hunt
Penny has over 20 years of development experience in universities, cultural institutions and civic agencies. Currently, she serves as Vice Chancellor for Development for the University of Illinois at Chicago, heading a comprehensive development program for 17 schools and units. She also serves as Senior Vice President for Campus Development at the University of Illinois Foundation, leading the Chicago component of the University’s $2-billion campaign.
Previously, Penny was Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations and Development at Northwestern University, and has served as President of the Alumni Association at Pomona College, her alma mater.
She specializes in helping individuals and organizations reach their maximum potential – in program performance, board development, and staff coaching and training. Penny is a sought-after speaker and faculty member for CASE and a recipient of their Steuben Apple Award for excellence in teaching.
Kristina M. Lentz
Major Gift Officer, Vice President, Campus Director, Literacy Coordinator, Admissions Counselor, Executive Coach – all of these are titles Kristina has held in her 20-year career in Higher Education Administration. At schools from Kentucky to Maine, in universities, schools, and colleges, new, and old, public and private, Kristina has developed her skills in management, leadership, and success through a commitment to equal educational opportunities for advancement and success. Kristina has also served on the faculty for numerous professional development organizations including CASE, AFP, and Women in Development. While the majority of her work has been in fund raising, Kristina has two degrees in history from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She received her certification in Executive Coaching in May, 2010 from the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology.

Craig H. Smith
Associate Vice President for Development, Rochester Institute of Technology
Craig is best known for his leadership, personal solicitation skills, and gift planning know-how.
Craig joined the Division of Development and Alumni Relations at Rochester Institute of Technology as Associate Vice President for Development in 2007. In that role, he leads a group of 24 professionals in major gifts, corporate and foundation relations, and development communications. The University Development team now embraces metrics to drive their success, and these measures are an essential part of accountability for major gift officers at RIT.
Prior to RIT, Craig worked as a Senior Consultant with John Brown Limited from 1998 to 2007. He was responsible for directing client relations in higher education, the arts, healthcare, and cultural organizations nationwide, including the National Geographic Society, the University of Michigan, all of the campuses of the University of North Carolina, and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He worked on campaigns from as small at $6 million to as large as $2.5 billion.
