Job Summary:
The Annual Leadership Officer's primary responsibility involves the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects for Brown Annual Fund gifts of $1,000-$25,000 paid in full each year. The Officer's efforts will cultivate relationships with key prospects that will pay off immediately through increased Annual Fund support and over the long term as prospects are identified and cultivated for future major gifts.

Bachelor's Degree and 3 or more years' related experience (e.g., fundraising, research, sales, marketing, management, etc.), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to identify/cultivate/solicit/steward prospects with the potential to give $1,000-$25,000 in a single year or $5,000-$125,000 over five years. Previous experience is preferred.

Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications. Planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.

Comfort in dealing with a wide range of University constituencies and with individuals of considerable social status and affluence is required.

Ability to apply good judgment; tact and discretion is required to deal with highly confidential information.

Proficiency with database, spreadsheet, and word processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel) along with demonstrated comfort in dealing with calendar programs and the Internet.

Must be a "self-starter" with the ability to work independently as well as on a highly collaborative team
