Lead Annual Giving Officer (5 Year Campaign Assignment)

As part of a five-year (5) Campaign Goal to reach unprecedented heights in our Institutional Advancement Division, we are conducting a search for an Annual Giving Young Alumnae & Student Program Officer

Reporting to the Director of Annual Giving, the Lead Annual Giving Officer will provide active leadership in the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of lead annual fund prospects. Teamwork and coordination between Leadership Gift/Planned Giving Office and the Office Annual Giving to build the pipeline of prospects for the College’s comprehensive campaign is vital to the success of this role.

Our ideal candidate competencies will include:

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business or related field is required. A minimum of three years of work experience in fundraising in higher education is required. Prior experience with Annual Giving programs and personal solicitations is required. Travel is necessary for this position. Significant weekend and evening work is required.

The Lead Annual Giving Officer will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects with a yearly fundraising and visit goal.

Work with the Director of Annual Giving and other front line fundraisers to develop fundraising strategies for lead annual fund prospects. Assists in short and long range planning activities to create and implement fundraising goals and objectives.

Participate in rating session and prospect research to establish donor centric fundraising strategies for each prospect.

Establish an Annual Giving Leadership Society with a unique brand identity that is recognizable to all constituents. Develop strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward lead annual fund prospects. Be an active and involved participant in Annual Giving events and fundraising initiatives such as Homecoming, Reunion, Family Weekend, and New Student Orientation.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills using correct grammatical style and form with attention to detail and accuracy is required. Good understanding of the role of fundraising in higher education. Supervisor experience preferred. Use of effective tracking methods to complete work and projects in time required.
