Job Summary:
UC Davis Health System is currently recruiting for the position of Associate Vice Chancellor, Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations. The health system provides education and healthcare delivery including the UC Davis School of Medicine, Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, UC Davis Medical Center and UC Davis Medical group as well as a number of institutional centers and research institutes. The health system has facilities and faculty on both the Davis campus and Sacramento campus in Northern California.

UC Davis is currently conducting a $1 billion campaign for philanthropic support. UC Davis Health System has a commitment to raise $330 million as part of this capital campaign, and progress in this initiative is excellent.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for the UC Davis Health System/Dean, School of Medicine, the Associate Vice Chancellor for Health Sciences Development and Alumni Relations will lead the institution in completing the campaign and will lead the health system's philanthropic efforts in to the future as a critical component of the strategy to accelerate innovation, excellence and national distinction for the health system. Additionally, the position will oversee a staff of 30 professionals and a budget of $3.5 million.

Qualified candidates will possess strong experience in leading a comprehensive fund development program, have previous experience at an executive level, and a proven track record of personal fund development including the development of major donors and the creation of a comprehensive fundraising function along with management skills to lead a group of highly accomplished fund development professionals. Experience in a school of medicine, health science center, academic medical center, health care research institute is required.
