The Office of Institutional Advancement is dedicated to securing the resources necessary for the support and continuing growth of Lesley University. The Office is responsible for University-wide fundraising and alumni relations programming and for building and sustaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with Lesley’s many constituencies, including alumni, donors, parents, and friends of the University.

Job Description:
The Senior Advancement Systems Analyst serves as an essential resource to the Advancement division by providing the overall management, planning and technical expertise for Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge, NXT, Wilson Bennett Phonathon System and related applications/services. Primary responsibilities include assessing and improving processes to ensure system and data security, PCI compliance, data integrity, user training, implementation of new Raiser’s Edge modules in accordance with industry best practices and serve as the liaison with various departments across the University on technical and data related projects.

  • Manage all aspects of Raiser’s Edge, NXT and other applications/services that support Advancement.
  • Work with IT and outside vendors to troubleshoot network and software issues.
  • Ensure system security and PCI compliance by creating and maintaining new security roles by function and, in collaboration with IT, conduct PCI compliance audits and implement processes and safeguards to ensure PCI compliance.
  • Responsible for database integrity by maintaining a regular database enrichment and maintenance schedule through Blackbaud services and external vendors.
  • Work collaboratively with other University key users to access new and/or update constituent information.
  • Perform imports and/or global updates to ensure accurate and relevant constituent information is available in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Create and implement a user training program and provide on-going technical support to all Raiser’s Edge database and NXT users.
  • Fulfill data and report requests.
  • Work with Advancement’s leadership team and end users to understand their needs and when possible, provide them with the tools to access data on demand.
  • Create, implement and document functional best practices for event management, moves management, attributes, reporting and analytics.
  • Ensure historical data reflects current business rules.


  • Bachelor’s Degree or current certification related to Raiser’s Edge database management.
  • 5 years of experience with fundraising software in higher education.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using data querying tools with large data sets.
  • Advanced Excel and Word skills (pivot, vlookup, macro commands) and advanced skills with Blackbaud products, particularly Raiser’s Edge and Omatic products.
  • Commitment to data integrity, consistency and confidentiality.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree.
  • Advanced skills with Blackbaud products, particularly Raiser’s Edge and experience with Omatic products and Crystal Reports.

Additional Information:
Salary Grade 27.
