Job Summary

Web and Data Integrations

We are a small agile team of full-stack developers who strive to continually improve our technology platforms and provide compelling solutions. We work with an outstanding design team to build appealing, responsive, state of the art user websites. We work for one of the greatest public universities in the country and provide tools to support its greatest causes.

We are looking for bright and enthusiastic people who are passionate about new technologies/patterns/practices, pushing innovation, and providing sustainable solutions. As a proven teammate, you will be involved with agile testing processes, and engage with partners to provide customer support for our ever-evolving solutions. Expect your time breakdown to be roughly:

  • 60% production manager
  • 30% customer support
  • 10% everything else (retreats, exploring new tech, special projects)

This is a full time, term limited position ending after two years from the hire date and is eligible for benefits. Before the end of the term limit, it could be considered for a term extension or for transition to an open-ended position.

Responsibilities*

  • Provide customer support to the U-M Telefund office
  • Troubleshoot CampusCall software issues
  • Manage call-station desktop kiosk equipment
  • Capture U-M PCI network issues and report to ITS IIA support
  • Visit Telefund office weekly to audit state of Telefund equipment
  • Triage support requests amongst appropriate ITS departments
  • Over-see vendor relationship w/RNL
  • Coordinate with RNL to schedule when they can apply software upgrades and testing

Required Qualifications*

  • Strong customer service skills and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs in advance and plan accordingly
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Attention to detail, highly accurate and thorough
  • Ability to work well with coworkers in a team oriented environment
  • Posess technical curiosity and creative problem solving skills
  • Reliable, dependable, professional, and positive demeanor
  • Availability to field occasional adhoc support calls between 5pm-10pm, on weekdays, Saturdays, or Sundays

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience supporting high availability (HA) production environments
  • Experience with Ruffalo Noel Levitz (RNL) CampusCall software
  • Experience with automating tasks using Windows Server and Jenkins
  • Familiarity with security and networking (firewalls, virtual private neworks (vpn), web proxies, intrusion prevention systems (ips), voice-over-ip (voip)), and PCI compliant environments
  • Familiarity with the ITS departments supporting networking and computing at U-M
