The Marshall University Foundation is seeking an Executive Director of Alumni Relations. 

 

SALARY AND BENEFITS

 

This is a full-time exempt position.  The salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with the experience and qualifications.  As a condition of employment, the MU Foundation reserves the right to conduct background verification including academic credentials, work experience, driving record, credit history and any criminal activities.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Executive Director of Alumni Relations is a senior member of the Marshall University Foundation’s management team.  This individual is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and direction of Marshall University alumni programs and for the executive support of the MU National Alumni Association.

 

Candidates must possess a degree from an accredited higher education institution plus a substantive record of successful, progressive leadership experience at a level commensurate with the position.

 

The candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the changing landscape in higher education and be able to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

 

Characteristics and Attributes

 

  • A working knowledge of principles and best of practice methods for the operation of a successful alumni program
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with multiple constituencies
  • Must possess ability to function equally well independently and as a contributing member of a team
