In 2009-10, consultation centered on growing the annual fund program, while advising the school on development of a comprehensive campaign that would lead to the centennial of the school in 2017. Over the next two years, a primary focus was the creation of The Harley Circle, a new leadership program for donors and prospects engaged to support the mission of the school. The improved cultivation and stewardship of these select donors was a key strategy for growing a pool of prospects and donors for the 2017 Centennial Campaign. WG also provided leadership while staffing transitions occurred over six months.
The Harley Circle recruited 110 members who provide on-going financial support and leadership to the school. Gifts at $1,000+ over five years are a requirement. The Harley Fund has doubled since FY 2010 in three years, growing from $225,000 to $500,000 annually.
“Cynthia and her team assisted our school in the development and successful launch of the Harley Circle, an Annual Fund program on steroids that solicits alums, parents, friends, faculty, and staff to make a five-year commitment at a certain minimum level ($1,000/year). The program, launched 3 years ago, has had a very positive impact. Currently, the Harley Circle has 110 members supporting the School at different levels (not just the minimum) and we have been able to come close to nearly doubling annual giving. The Harley Circle has allowed us to build a bigger “book of business” and through this reliable funding support take calculated steps toward investing in programmatic quality and thereby moving Harley to the next, higher level of excellence.”

“Cynthia Woolbright is completely professional and delightful to work with. She helped kick start The Harley Circle, a five-year giving program, for our school’s annual fund and this initiative has made a huge difference, increasing our annual fund by almost 30% over the past three years. Cynthia’s work ethic is to roll up her sleeves and dive right in and with her help our annual drive continues to be a successful one.”
