Session Overview:
In the role of a responsible fiduciary, a Board of Trustees is trusted to faithfully advance the mission and goals of the institution, steward institutional resources, participate constructively in the work of the Board and its committees, represent the institution in word and deed, respect diverse points of view, and make service to the institution a high personal priority.
Each of these and more are components of the practice of governance.
Our session will focus on the role and effectiveness of boards in governance, the role of the Advancement staff---in concert with organizational leadership---in ensuring board effectiveness, and how the Advancement team can support and bolster the Board’s productivity and sustainability.
